Hello and welcome.
My name is Winston Lim.
As the sidebar in my blog would suggest, I am a lecturer, occasional singer/musician (so the part about being a bedroom guitarist is mostly true). I teach at a local private higher education institution in the greater city area of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Once in a while, I also dabble a little bit in performing arts but that hasn't happen since my days as a good church-going Sunday School kid. However, I am still open to the idea of being in dramas or theatre as a minor supporting character (eg. like a bystander who breaks into song midway or the roadside vendor which supports the production set that supports the arc of the story, sumthingliddat).
When I am not academically engaged in the university/college, I enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures and meeting new people: just learning where people come from, how people think, how they live their lives, and their peculiar oddities which makes us all so unique. But what is traveling if not to also enjoy the delicacies a culture has to offer. So, eating and making merry is a big part of what I am. Someone once said, "you are what you eat", and while I may not be a chicken, or a vegetable, or a pig (hopefully, not ever!), I am certainly a part of the culture of connecting through dining. While this blog may not be entirely about eating, la cuisine d'internationale, or a recipe blog, you will find some of such stuff in here. More importantly, I hope to cover a good many of my interests where possible which include reading, a little bit of sports and definitely music.
If you have just came over to my blog by chance, I hope to be a good host during your visit here. Likewise, do the same favour for me. Please understand that no hateful and abusive comments will be entertained here, so they will be deleted.
Again, thanks for stopping by and as blogs are generally works-in-progress, hopefully, you'll find something here for you in due time.
Thank you.
Winston
